Rhabdomyosarcoma increasingly shows outcome and behavioral differences based on the underlying molecular genetic biology. Whilst histologic and immunohistochemistry play a role in placing a tumor into the skeletal muscle differentiation camp, these tumors require additional molecular genetic studies to confer appropriate prognostic information.
